Tidepool Tim says, “Psolus are known for their bright red color. They are cold water sea cukes distributed from Arctic to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Scarlet sea cucumbers hide under the sand, exposing only the tentacles around its mouth! Mucus secreted from the tentacles allows the cuke to hold onto food as it draws the tentacles into its mouth one at a time.”
