Our founder Tim, aka Tidepool Tim, is a marine biologist, educator, and lifelong coastal explorer. Before founding Gulf of Maine, Inc., he worked as a schoolteacher, and an ecotourism guide. With decades of experience in marine biology and sustainable resource harvesting, he is passionate about sharing his knowledge through hands-on experiences, educational materials, and his engaging YouTube series. How We Work

All sea life is collected to order, by hand—either the day of shipping or the day before. We do not use holding tanks. Please note that some species are only available during specific times of the year.
